Wildlife and Nature Tour to Sariska

Overview

The Sariska Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary nestled in the Aravali Hills is spread over
many acres of land and has a varied landscape of grasslands, deciduous forests, sheer cliffs
and rocky areas. It is prime tiger country and home to a variety of wild animals like the tiger,
leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, four-horned antelope and wild boar, making it an exciting
destination for animal and nature lovers alike. Sariska is an important part of Project Tiger, a
wildlife conservation project initiated in 1972.

Spot crocodiles at the Siliserh Lake on the edge of the sanctuary as you learn more about
India's fascinating wildlife with your experienced naturalist guide.

Other attractions within the sanctuary are the medieval temples of Garh-Rajor, belonging to the
10th and 11th centuries.

Itinerary

Day 1
You will be picked up from your hotel in Delhi and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to Sariska.
It is approximately 200 kilometres from Delhi and it will take you about 3 hours to get there. Your
package includes breakfast daily throughout your stay.

Upon arrival at Sariska, check in at the Sariska Palace Hotel. Once a royal hunting lodge, today it
is a luxury hotel offering all modern amenities. The rooms are tastefully done up with Victorian
furniture. The hotel has air-conditioned rooms, a swimming pool and provides multi-cuisine
meals.

Spend some time at leisure exploring the hotel and its surrounds. You may visit the temples.

Stay overnight at the Sariska Palace Hotel.



Day 2
Early in the morning - the best time for wildlife sighting - drive deep into the sanctuary in an open
jeep accompanied by your naturalist guide to observe the wildlife. The drive will provide you with
excellent photo opportunities. You may see tigers, leopards, sambhar, chital, and birds like the
Bush Quail, Tree Pie, Peafowl among others.

After the morning excursion, return to the hotel.

Later in the evening you will be taken for another ride into the forest for an opportunity to see the
wildlife.

Return to your hotel for the night.



Day 3
Check out from the hotel and travel back to Delhi in an air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour
concludes at your hotel in Delhi.

Additional info
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local
telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you
may have.
You will travel in an air-conditioned Ambassador car or a similar medium-sized car if there are 1-
2 passengers, Toyota Qualis or Chevrolet Tavera if there are 3 passengers and a Tempo
Traveller if there are 4 passengers. The Ambassador is based on the Morris Oxford first made
in the United Kingdom, and is considered the best suited for Indian terrain.
Check-in, check-out time at hotel is 12 noon.
