Day 1 Arrive Haridwar

Arrive at Haridwar from Delhi by the air-conditioned super fast train, Shatabdi Express (Train ticket included. Tentative train  
timings: 0655h / 1125h/ 06:55 am/11:25 am). Upon arrival at Haridwar railway station, you will be picked up and taken in an Air-
conditioned vehicle for a sightseeing tour of the city. You will be accompanied by a local English-speaking guide.

Visit the bustling local market for glass bangles, idols of Gods, artificial jewellery, saffron stoles, sandalwood rudraksh
(rosaries), and many more items. Also visit the temples and ashrams and listen to your guide tell you about the legends and
tales associated with the temples. Watch the eclectic mix of people – the devout, the curious, Indians and foreigners - and soak
up the atmosphere of this city which is an attractive destination for tourists and pilgrims alike.

Later drive to Rishikesh which is about 25 kilometres away and check into The Great Ganges hotel (standard room). The hotel
has air-conditioned rooms offering panoramic views of the river and the surrounding hills and a multi-cuisine restaurant that
serves Indian and Chinese cuisine. It is located at Muni-Ki-Reti, an area of great beauty because this is where the river
meanders out of the hills to enter the plains. Step out of the hotel and a five-minute walk will take you to the river. Your package
includes breakfast daily, throughout your stay.

Day 2 Rishikesh

Set out for a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh in an air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by an English-speaking local guide. Visit
ashrams, temples and the defining landmarks of Rishikesh- Ram Jhoola and Laxman Jhoola. Cross the 450 feet long Laxman
Jhoola to reach the multi-storey temples of Swarg Ashram and Shri Trayambakeshwar which have numerous idols of Hindu
Gods and Goddesses.

In the evening, watch an ‘Aarti’ (prayer) ceremony on the banks of the river Ganges. See hundreds of devotees float lit
earthen lamps in the river after the prayer ceremony. This is an unforgettable experience.

Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 3 Rishikesh

Spend the day at leisure. Explore the city, take a dip in the river, a yoga class or visit the bustling markets. You could pick up
wooden souvenirs, bells and incense-stick holders among others. Or simply sit by the river and enjoy the solitude of the
environs. Please note you will not be provided with any transport services or guide today. You may explore the city on foot, or in an
auto-rickshaw which is easily available.

Spend the night at the hotel.

Day 4

Today you will travel back to Haridwar in an air-conditioned vehicle to board the train back to Delhi (train ticket included. Tentative
train timing: 1813h (06:13 pm).
